Privacy Policy

1. What We Collect
TipityCAMS collects only what is necessary to deliver the service:
- Usage data: Cam views, search queries, and general interaction patterns — collected anonymously to improve the service.
- Push notification tokens: If you opt in to breaking-event alerts, we store a browser device token. We do not link tokens to your personal identity and never share them.
- Favorites: Your favorited cams are stored locally in your browser only — we never transmit your favorites list to our servers.
- Advertising data: Our ad partner (Bonusmoney / SecureAdDisplay) may use cookies or device identifiers to serve relevant ads. See their privacy policy for details.
TipityCAMS does not require you to create an account. We do not collect your name, email, or any personally identifiable information unless you explicitly contact us.
2. How We Use Your Data
- To serve live webcam content and related features
- To send push notifications you have opted into (breaking events, wildlife alerts)
- To detect abuse or excessive scraping of our feed index
- To comply with applicable law
We do not sell your data to third parties.
3. Third-Party Services
- Bonusmoney / SecureAdDisplay — advertising. Subject to their own privacy policy.
- Google Firebase — backend database, hosting, and push notifications (FCM). Subject to Google's Privacy Policy.
- Google Cloud Run — server hosting. Request logs retained per Google's standard policy.
- Windy.com, Webcam.travel, YouTube, and other stream providers — all video is embedded from third-party sources and subject to those providers' privacy policies. Visiting a cam embed may expose your IP to that provider.
4. Data Retention
Push notification tokens are retained until you unsubscribe or the token expires (typically when you clear browser data or revoke notification permission). Anonymous usage data is retained for up to 12 months. Server request logs are retained for up to 30 days.
5. Cookies & Storage
TipityCAMS uses browser localStorage and sessionStorage for local preferences (favorites, dismissed banners). We do not set tracking cookies. Our advertising partner may set cookies for ad targeting. You can opt out at optout.aboutads.info.
6. Children
TipityCAMS is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect data from children.
7. Your Rights
Since TipityCAMS does not collect personal accounts, most privacy rights are satisfied by the fact that we simply do not hold your identifiable information. To unsubscribe from push notifications, use your browser settings (Site Settings → Notifications). For any other request, contact support@tipitylabs.com.
8. Security
We use HTTPS, Firebase security rules, and server-side controls to protect our infrastructure. No transmission method is 100% secure.
9. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time and will note the Effective Date at the top. Continued use of TipityCAMS after changes constitutes acceptance.
